Los Che striker believes playing the Catalan club after the Spanish Super Cup at the Santiago Bernabeu will play out in their favour as fatigue catches up with La Blaugrana.
Valencia’s tough start to 2012/13 La Liga campaign continues as they take on the challenge of Barcelona. New Los Che striker, Nelson Valdez, took out time to reflect on the match, sharing that he is eagerly anticipating the match against the Copa del Rey winners.
Valdez had his bets in favour of La Blaugrana in the Spanish Super Cup but revealed that he has ulterior motives for the fixture. He stated that the midweek fixture excites him as Barcelona will be fatigued by their meeting with Real Madrid which should play in their favour during their weekend La Liga matchup.
"Hopefully that will benefit us; they sure come more tired for this game and hopefully give us an advantage. I'll Go with all the enthusiasm to do good game and leave a good image for the club," he said.

Valdez recalled his sensational debut in Spanish top flight domestic football two years ago when he player in the ranks of Hercules when he scored two goals against Barcelona in the Nou Camp.
"There is no person in the world who had no desire to repeat a story, but no matter who makes the goals. Important thing is to try to add up the score points, to give a good image and God willing I hope to repeat my feat" he said.
With two matches into the season, Valencia find themselves in mid-table obscurity after two impressive draws that have yielded a mediocre 2 points for them.
The South American footballer admitted that the team is hurt after the home draw against Deportivo, where they allowed the recently promoted outfit  to take a point from the match after taking a 3-1 lead by the end of the first half.
