http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nemanja-Gudelj-c27524, has revealed that his chances of continue plying his trade at Rat Verlegh Stadion have increased after his father, Nebojsa Gudelj, has taken the reins of the club.
The promising midfielder, who started his career in the 2010/11 season at NAC, has been staging impressive shows since the start of the ongoing 2012/13 campaign.
His consistent performances garnered him interest from Newcastle United, who have reportedly expressed interest in adding the 21-year-old to their injury-hit squad in the upcoming winter transfer market.
However, the highly talented midfielder has now made it clear that his chances to leave the club to join the English Premier League outfit in January transfer window are highly unlikely.
“The chances that I will stay at Breda are now much higher. My father means a lot to me. He is the most important person in my career. He is the man who made me as a footballer. Now, as a manager, he can do this on his own and I would like to help him. But
nonetheless I still have to think about my future”, Gudelj was quoted as saying to Srpski Futbal.
The young midfielder, who has thus far made well over 50 appearances in all competitions for the Yellow Army since making his debut, has been in impressive form since the start of the ongoing season.
Although the 21-year-old has failed to find the back of the net on a consistent basis, netting only a lone goal, his presence at the centre of the park has remained a constant threat for every team playing in the highest echelons of Dutch football.
Newcastle had reportedly set their sights on Gudelj for quite some time now. However, after hearing the young midfielder’s comments, it seems like they have to shift their focus elsewhere.
The youngster has an ongoing contract at Rat Verlegh Stadion that runs until the summer of 2015, and following the appointment of his father as the club’s new boss, it seems unlikely that he would be moving abroad in the near future.
