The Manchester United defender has come out and hailed Robin Van Persie’s impact at Old Trafford especially after he scored thrice in their 3-2 win over Southampton to save the Red Devils from a shock defeat against the Premier
League’s newest arrivals...
Manchester United were on the verge of defeat to Southampton last weekend as they took on the Saints in their third Premier League fixture of the season. It was Southampton who took the lead after which United jolted to life and

United’s defensive problems were a major cause of concern throughout the encounter but Robin Van Persie came to his team’s rescue as he scored two goals in the final fifteen minutes of the second half to net his first hatrick for
the Red Devils. The Dutchman also missed a spot kick but that did not dash his confidence which added to Manchester United’s offensive prowess as they went onto claim all three points.
Sir Alex Ferguson has since then come out and praised Van Persie for his display and also hinted at United’s defensive problems which need to be sorted out as soon as possible. Out of their three matches so far this season, United
have won two and lost one.

Vidic said, "He has scored three, he had a great game and he helped us through this difficult game. He is a fighter. He is not scared to play a hard game as well. This is important if you want be a top goal scorer [at United].
I think obviously, when you are a good player it is easier to adapt.”
He added, "Robin has good movement which is most important. He is always trying quickly to turn to the goal so that he can have the advantage. He is good at that and obviously I think he has shown us where he is feeding - in the
box. He is top class."
