Nenad Krstic, Romain Sato, Sean May: Top players from Euroleague, October 26 games – Part 1
Four games took place in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague season 2011-12 on October 26, 2011.
In the first game of the day, CSKA Moscow registered their second consecutive game with an impressive 94-74 victory over Brose Baskets. Moscow got off to a fabulous start and held a 17-point lead at halftime. They continued to
play with full focus in the second half and maintained their double-digit lead until the final buzzer.   
In the second game, defending champions Panathinaikos beat KK Zagreb with a huge margin of 81-62. It was second straight victory for the Greens, who outscored Zagreb 45-22 in the first half and did not look back for the rest of
the period.

Nenad Krstic
Nenad Krstic led all scorers with 19 points and grabbed four rebounds. The Serbian seven-footer stole the ball twice and ended on a perfect 9 for 9 shooting from two-point range. The player scored eight of his points in the second
period as Moscow widened their 10-point first quarter lead to 17 at halftime.
Andrey Vorontsevich
Andrey Vorontsevich was another bright spot in CSKA’s victory. The 24-year-old power forward racked up 15 points on 3 for 5 shooting from three-point range, pulled down five rebounds and dished out three assists in the victory.
Andrei Kirilenko
Utah Jazz small forward Andrei Kirilenko added 12 points in Moscow’s second straight win. The Russian player, famously known as the AK-47, also dished out six assists and grabbed four rebounds in more than 22 minutes of action.
He pinned 5 of 8 free throws for his team.
Tibor Pleiss
Tibor Pleiss headed Brose Baskets with 17 points, four rebounds and two assists. The 7 ft 1 in centre went 4 for 5 from two-point range and 9 for 10 from free throw line.
Julius Jenkins
Julius Jenkins added 15 points and dished out three assists in the losing effort. He was 5 for 6 from two-point range and 5 for 5 from the line.
Panathinaikos vs. KK Zagreb
Romain Sato
Romain Sato punctuated a team-high 13 points and pulled down seven rebounds for the Greens. Sato, who was selected by the San Antonio Spurs in the 2004 NBA Draft, played for more than 20 minutes and ended on 4 for 6 shooting from
the line.
Nick Calathes
Nick Calathes also played well for Panathinaikos and contributed 12 points in the victory. He also grabbed six rebounds, stole the ball twice and hit 4 for 5 shots from two-point range.
Sean May
Although Sean May could not win the game for Zagreb but he played the best game of his Euroleague career. The 27-year-old paced the Croatians with a career-high 23 points on 8 for 12 shooting from two-point range and 7 for 8 from
free throw line. In addition to that, he grabbed nine rebounds in more than 29 minutes of action.
