The out of favour disgruntled striker of the rich French outfit has been linked with a plethora of clubs since the onset of summer transfer window.
Although the Brazilian ace still has a year left on his contract, the happenings of the recent past have led to the player developing serious differences with the club. The recent act of the Brazilian, whereby the striker left the premises of the stadium
upon being substituted at half time has lead to the transfer market come up with many speculations on his future.
The 31-year-old has been a summer long target for the Russians and after Rubin Kazan, another Russian club, Anzhi Makhachkala, is reportedly in the race for the wanted striker.
The latter Russian club has been seeking to bolster its squad in terms of more recruitment in its attempt to qualify to the next rounds of the Europa League, and the reported interest in the Brazilian is linked to its success in Europe.
The bad boy of the newly assembled mega rich squad has drawn comparisons with the fate being met to Dimitar Berbatov of Manchester United. The similarity between the two is that both the strikers were the top scorers in their previous campaigns, yet were
kept out of favor by their respective managers. The visibly perturbed Nene has publicaly criticized his top hierarchy at the club.
It is pertinent to mention here that Luis Nene is not simply the target of Russians alone, but has been linked with the Premier Leauge as well as the big teams from Serie A. If reports are to be believed, Juventus, AS Roma and AC Milan have all jumped into
the transfer bandwagon to achieve the talented striker’s signature, yet Inter Milan has over the time made the most serious attempt to sign the player.
Leonardo, the sporting director of the club has refused to offer a new contract to the striker but has kept him in his plans till he is under contract with the club.
With the signing of Ibrahimovic and potential capture of Lucas Moura in coming days, the chances of the former AS Monaco man to get a place in starting eleven next season seem remote.
