Reports in French media claim that Brazilian winger Nene, could be on his way out of Paris Saint-Germain in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Guilty of some wrongdoings before the game against Nancy Lorraine, Nene already made his mea culpa on Tuesday. However, between his difficult character, lack of support from the club and his wage demands, the Brazilian midfielder’s future at the club is
under a lot of scrutiny.
“I love this club. I’m totally with my teammates, there are still eight games. I want to help PSG to become champions.” In the eye of the storm following the 2-1 defeat against Nancy, Nene chose to break his silence and clear things out. Media had blown
things out of proportions and Nene did well to set things right.
Though everything is apparently back to normal, something is definitely broken between the Brazilian and the club management.
If the former AS Monaco man wants to stay in Paris for next season, he has till now, heard no news from sporting director Leonardo over a contract extension.
This is somewhat surprising given that Nene would become a free agent in January 2013. Essential part of PSG since the beginning of the campaign, the Brazilian is a difficult person to manage and does not enjoy support from the club.
Neither Ancelotti nor http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leonardo-c22056 are willing to support him as they are not impressed with the way Nene goes about his business.
Popular with fans, Nene is certainly in good shape and in good form to earn a move to another big club this summer if PSG don’t want to retain his services.
According to L’Equipe, Nene is looking for a gross salary of 5 million Euros per year which is almost the double of what he is getting right now.
However, despite their fast resources, PSG are reluctant to bind the player to a long-term contract. Furthermore, at the age of 30, Nene will soon reach the twilight years of career and Ancelotti is more focused on bringing young players at the club which
means that even if he chooses to stay at Ile, Nene is bound to become obsolete soon.
