The 30-year-old has expressed his desire to leave PSG following club’s failure to offer him a new contract
Despite Leonardo claiming that the Brazilian will stay with Les Parisiens for another season, the former Monaco player has decided to end his time in Paris and is seeking a move away from the Ligue 1 outfit.
Nene, who joined Paris Saint-Germain in 2010 in a deal believed to be around 5.5 million Pounds, enjoyed a terrific time at Parc des Princes.
Despite being top-scorer for PSG last season, the Brazilian has not been handed a new contract that has left the player in a fix and he is reportedly considering his future.
However, club’s sporting director Leonardo has dismissed reports linking Nene with a move away from Parc des Princess. While talking to reporters, Leonardo claimed that the former Santos FC player is happy at PSG and is very much in club's plans for the
future.
On a question regarding Nene's new contract, Leonardo stated that the player still has one year left on his contract and there is no need to make a decision about that in a hurry.
“We are very happy with Nene. He has had a great season and we want to keep him. Now he has one year left on his contract and I do not see why we should make a decision right away.”
Paris Saint-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti has claimed that the winger has not asked for a move away from the club. The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899.
“Nene has not asked to leave and we're counting on him", said Carlo Ancelotti.
However, according to reports, the situation is pretty different to what Leonardo and Ancelotti have suggested. Nene wants to leave as early as possible and with his profile, there will be many suitors who would want to attain the services of the highly-rated
winger.
The 30-year old managed to make 35 Ligue 1 appearances for PSG last season scoring 21 goals in the process. The Brazilian also provided 11 assists for his team-mates in 2011/2012 campaign.
