I now really want some Neon Tetras. 5-6, maybe. In one of the biorb/ube series. Any ideas?

  1. Well, I do not usually follow the one inch per gallon rule, but with schooling fish of any size, I would not do more than one per gallon. A larger biOrb would allow for more fish, so I say get a 6 gallon at least. a 12 gallon would be better. I have also heard that the filters in those are a peice of c**p, but the eclispse systems last longer than most biOrb filters and eclipse system is less expesive. I say get an eclipse 12 system for about 12-15 max neon tetras and no other fish.

  2. I have those as well. a group of 12 together in a 10 gal tank with guppies

  3. it depends on the size of the biorb, mine is 16 gallons.

    4 gallons: about 6-8 tetras

    8 gallons: about 10-12

    9 gallons: about 11-15

    16 gallons: about 18-24

usually its 1 fish to 1 gallon ratio, but tetras are school fish and the biorb allows you to break this ratio do to its sphere structure.

The stats i gave u can also be used for guppies, these fish look better then tetras. Unless, u plan on getting neon tetras.
