  1. I don't think you are at the point of needing a bigger downpipe.

After you do a cold air intake, then move to some sort of boost control.  Then you will be ready for exhaust mods.

The real benefit of a larger down pipe is for faster spoolup and less boost drop off on the top end.  Since stock boost control on the SRT4 sucks, a downpipe is wasted until you figure out boost control.  Of course this gets thrown out the window if you get a smoking deal on one.

I wouldn't worry about the HP claims.  Those claims can be depective.  What looks like only a 3hp gain at the peak power could be some 20hp increase under the peak.  Alot of parts won't give large increases in overall horsepower.  Its when you look at a dyno chart, exam power increase under the peak.

  2. I'd start with intake first. The K&N Typhoon air intake for it gives you 12hp according to their website and other brands may add more or less. Downpipe and Catback would be next on my list. The Weapon R downpipe adds 30hp from what I read.

  3. get a short ram intake for your car

i wouldnt get the full one unless your going to mess with bypass valves for puddles

otherwise i wouldnt mess with ur downpipe until you add a few other things

if you want better gas mileage tie up the black plastic on your rear bumper with zippy ties

a lot of drag is caused back there in srts

it all depends on how much work you plan on putting in the car for what you should do next

  4. my nephew has an SRT-4 and what we did on his was add the typhoon air intake system and one the paper it says in fine print that it can produce up to a certain amount of horse power it doesn't give a definite amount for sure,on his the best we can figure is about 8-12 horse power at the very most, and on the down pipe unless you have some good exhaust mods to it you wont notice much difference in it,he bought a new exhaust system for his that is suppose to give it about 20-30 horse power, but again in the fine print it says actual horse power gain is not guaranteed they just base it on those numbers,a lot of the gain you get from it will come from different mods that are done to it,if you get the right combination set up on that one you,ll be really surprised as to how well it will run and perform,he ran off and left me setting in my ram truck and its got a real strong 360 in it,good luck.
