Neon tetra life span?

hi, how long do neon tetras live if properly taken care of?, it doesn't say any where on the net!

i'd say 5-8 years

I have 10 Neons and I've had them for about 2 years now, one died recently and one or 2 others look a bit ropey so I'd say 2-3 years average.
