Neonatal rash symptoms?

I took my 6 week old daughter to the doctor on friday cause she has a rash on her face and neck. The doctor said its a neonatal rash and its pretty common in newborns. But now i see that she"s also getting the rash on her ears, even more of her neck and some on her upper chest too. Is it normal for a neonatal rash to spread? Also when shes hot the rash gets brighter in color and the bumps get bigger, is that normal for a neonatal rash? How long does it take for these neonatal rashes to go away? Is there anything i can do to help it go away?

  1. My baby has them to but they go away in a day or two. He is younger though. I don't know if this is your first baby but your baby is probably getting baby acne. Trying looking it up online and compare the pictures to your baby. It is very common and it does go away. My first daughter had it all over her forehead, my poor baby! It started around 6ish weeks and stopped around her3 months. It is just the baby getting their hormones balanced.

Hopes that makes u happy. You can't put anything on your baby, it will just irratate their skin. It doesn't bother them either, so try not to let it bother u :)

  2. sounds like baby acne. at 6 weeks thats probably it. it should resolve in a few weeks, hang in there.
