unless your younger than 13, spend the same amount of money, and buy yourself a new airsoft gun for mabye $10 on eBay. You can usually buy them new at the "buy it now" price for really cheap. They don't really hurt that much if its rated at less than 230 feet per second, but if you do that you should also spend $10 for a pair of shooting glasses. They're made of the same stuff nalgene bottles are made of, and will keep your eyes safe.

As far as I know, the maverick has only come with the suction cup tipped darts so far.
