Uli Hoeness the Bayern Munich President revealed that the decision to sack Christian Nerlinger was mainly due to difference of opinion regarding the club’s future.

The 2011/2012 campaign was rather unfruitful for the Munich club. In the Bundesliga the Bavarian giants were edge out by Borussia Dortmund to clinch the title; the Black Yellows finished eight points above their rivals. Bayern’s
hopes of winning the DFB Pokal were also crushed by Jurgen Klopp’s side who thrashed Die Roten to win the league and cup double.

Club’s officials were concerned about their failure to win a trophy; changes had to be made from top to bottom. The Munich club dipped into the transfer market and brought in reinforcements, but further high profile changes were
expected.
Recently the club confirmed that they sacked their Sporting director Christian Nerlinger. Uli Hoeness revealed that after a lengthy meeting with the supervisory board and all the directors it was clear that the Sporting director’s
vision differed from his significantly.
"When we were reviewing the 2011-12 campaign with the supervisory board, the board of directors and the sporting director, it became clear that we had significant differences of opinion and a different vision about the future of
Bayern," he is quoted as saying in an interview.
The Bayern supremo also revealed that the decision to sack Nerlinger was made much before the announcement was made. Hoeness insists that the announcement was delayed due to the European Championships, because he did not want to
unsettle the 10 Bayern Munich players at the European Championships.
"We took Euro 2012 into account as to when we'd announce our decision. We had 10 players at the Euros and didn't want to create any unrest," he added.
The club are understood to be assessing their managers’ performance after a disappointing season. Jupp Heynckes’ was subjected to heavy criticism after his side’s loss to Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League final. His http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 is reportedly
