Nero DVD Burning Help?

Question

Using Nero, I'd tried to make a Video CD or "VCD". I set up the menus and added three 20 minutes video files to be burned onto a DVD+R disc. After waiting 90 minutes for the burning process to finish, it then said I "have the wrong type of disc". What kind of disc do I actually need to make DVDs? Thanks for any help.

VCD usually can be burned to a standard CD. it is different from DVDs and Nero is pretty clear about the choices you have. you might want to go to the help file and see exactly what you're dealing with.

If you want to burn DVD,  you need DVD-R or DVD+R.

by the way the process for burning takes only 10-20 minutes. if it is 4x speed then it takes near about 20 minutes.

i think u just keep the dvd to burn that is already been used, i mean to say it is already had some kind of stuffs in it.

that's the problem.

Nero has a some kind of program u can used dvd twice for burn i mean always try to make multi session disc. nero asked you every time be4re u start burning.

The wrong is from the program (nero) I think.

if the version is 7 or 8 : Change it to the best version from nero (6).

it's old I know but it's the best to burn CD or DVD.

If it was 6 the wrong from the disk : Try to change the disk.

not the kind of it. it's not related to the kind but it's related to the disk that you've tried to burn on it.(Maybe it's old or hurt).

It should tell you when the message comes up.

The disk might not be big enough to hold all the files, or you may need a RW instead of R. Or CD R/RW
