Nervous About High school?

I'm gonna be a freshman this year, & I've been hearing that upperclassmen, especially sophomores, hate freshmen. Is that true?

yes it is, im a senior now. and when i was a freshman though i was already in that sophmore junior crowd so i didnt get picked on or anything, but it happens sometimes. GOOD LUCK :)

Yes its true, but its mostly the Juniors and Seniors who despise the Freshmen more than the Sophomores.

usually the different years don't meet, unless your are in upper division math with them or something like that.  Around campus they all just stick with themselves.  You will learn that highschool is just like middle school except you will meet lots of new people!  It can be as good as you want your experience to be.  If you are open and true to yourself you will have an amazing time.  Don't be afraid to try new clubs and activities.  The first day is nerve racking but it is not as bad as you think and you will get use to the size of the school i promise.

Im going into high school too,

and all of those things you hear are just rumors. You cant go into a school where you dont know anyone and be automatically hated.

You will only be hated if you cause drama, spread rumors, are B****y, etc...

So just be yourself and youll be fine. :]

rest assured its normal to be nervous in a new venture of any kind and in schools the world over new pupils worry about horror stories passed down every year whereas there is an element of truth in these stories  once you start you quickly realise "what was i worrying about"because its never as bad as it was made out to be!. dont worry and enjoy the experience!

No it is not. They may tease you,but nothing too bad. It is basically,

don't start anything, wont be anything. I was a freshman last year and i was freaking out. But as time when on i was  not scared anymore.

It has been awhile since I was in high school, but I would say no, that isn't true, they are just trying to scare you, and it's working.

Sophmore do show a bit more hostility towards freshmen because they are so glad to no longer be freshmen, but, seriously, it's no big deal.

haiha yep uperclassmen hate freshmen...it's a fact of life..freshmen are always the ones that stop right in the middle of the hall way...they cut right in from of you when you walking down the hall...it just plain annoying...
