Question:

Nervous About the 10th Grade?

I'm really nervous about the coming year I have 6 classes, but 5 of them are going to be either Honors or AP classes. Aside from that I got into two sports teams (Cross Country, and Basketball). I also want to be involved in school, so I'm planning on staying an Ambassador, and I also want to be in the school play this year (we're going to do Phantom of the Opera and Grease). I really expect a lot from myself, and hope to do the best, but thinking about it now i think I put too much on my plate. Do you have any tips or advice?

Thanks in advance

xoxo

 1. It all depends on the person. From personal experience, I've been in a similar situation (except only 1 sport and band instead of theater, and I also had a part time job during the weekends). It can be tough, but it's not impossible. Advice: make sure to get enough sleep! You're gonna be busy, so it's gonna seem like bad advice, "wasting" time on sleep, but really it's well worth it! Weigh out your priorities though, and do what works for you. If that means only chosing 1 sport, or dropping an AP class and taking up an easier one instead, go for it. There's plenty of time to do the stuff you don't get to this year-you've still got 2 years after this in high school

 2. You are quite accomplished already qualifying for honors classes, congrats! I do have some advice though, btw I am 32 yrs old. You are building your own future. Being involved in sports and physically active in general builds self esteem, sharpens your mind, accelerates learning capability. See if you can handle all these courses. If you can't in time, best thing to do is drop the sports. This is because your education is your future, as I'm sure you want the security of making good money and living a good life!

 3. maybe that is a lot, but it depends on how you manage your time. Stick with your plans for a week or two and if you feel like its too much drop one of your after school activities.
