Question:

Nervous for tennis tryouts?

So I was on my college's varsity tennis team last year and we have tryouts in 3 weeks. I am in really good overall physical condition, I run about 5 miles a day and do other machines at the gym. However, I have not played tennis in about 2 weeks and I don't know if I will get to play again before we go back to school which means I will go 5 weeks without picking up a racquet! What are some things I can do at home or the gym during the next 3 weeks to make sure I am ready for tennis tryouts again?! I'm really nervous that I won't be good anymore when I go back!!!

  1. you'll do well.... just have some confidence in yourself.. its mostly mental what u are going through..

just relax, and allow yourself to play your natural game...

just get a hitting partner, get them to work on certain parts of your game that u feel needs work

    you going to do good..

  2. Okk...

Well if ur tennis coach is a girl ( Requiring she is hot =P )

    Think bout that..

Takes ur mind off it LOL =]

  3. well, my coach always tells me that one way to keep my serves in tip-top shape is to do some tossing drills by just standing in serving position and simply tossing the ball in the air as you would if you were serving in a match. it's basically just training you to get into habit with your toss and your toss is one of the most important factors of your serve!

    good luck!

  4. I don't know unless you are very good but if you are arecreational player or mediocore then this could be a disasterous error on your part
