Nervous in front of people!?

Hey guys,

I'm always nervous when I get in front of people. I totally blush and my face gets bloody red! I heard that later on from my friends when I was preforming a song. Is this something you grow out of, or are you born with it? I want to be in a lot of movies and there will be a lot of people standing behind the camera and stuff. Who knows what'll happen if I'm in front of a camera! I need some advice, can you help?

  1. These people are just like you. I know that sounds like a typical answer but Im sure there not judging you because theyre only human the same thing might happen to them to. You might grow out of it but if not lots of people feel the same way so dont stress about it!

  2. this is what i think of,

other tricks like the underwear thing doesnt work for me. haha

just imagine that you got nervous. then think about how disappointed you would be, after all you worked for.

then imagine that you sucked it up and just gave it your all! you would be amazing! :D just go for it, dont think about it too much.

you'll get used to it, good luck

  3. Picture the audience in there under ware...

  4. The more you do it, the easier it gets.  Try to pick one person in the audience, especially someone you know, and pretend that you are talking to them.

  5. This happens to me as well.  It happens when I present projects or talk to people I'm trying to impress.  I don't believe my face gets red, but my voice shakes, or I mess up my words.  For me, my words come out almost dyslexic.  My advice?  Before a nerve wrecking situation, take a deep breath.  Become relaxed, and do your thing.  Do not think about what could happen and other things that will make you nervous.  Just remain calm, and you should be okay.

  6. i think that being nervous is all in your head.  you shouldn't worry if anybody would do or say anything about what you do, just wipe that idea from your head because those people are people like you and you need to just relax and express yourself freely.

  7. i have that problem too sometimes. it used to be alot worse though. the more you get out there and perform in front of people and in different places and situations, the more comfortable you will get definately. i mean there's always the nerves factor, but you can deal with it better by starting to perform more. maybe start with your family or friends.. and i dont really even like performing in front of people i know especially my friends! ha i mean, i would be nervous of what they would say or how they would react.. i always feel more comfortable where i dont know anyone.. this might sound really stupid.. ha but i went to an old folks' home and sang for them.. it really wasnt nerve racking and they loved it! ha so you could go there for a performance without nerves.. ha also if you practice alot and get really comfortable with your words and the notes, you might not be as nervous of messing up or doing badly. taking deep breath and relaxing before you perform helps, and just think that when you perform that you are just sharing your gifts with everyone. and have fun with it!

  8. most people are like you

there are a few things you can do to make it easier, look straight ahead of you, and it will look like you are looking at the audience. if you stare at the oppisite wall, it will make it easier on you

also you could pretend that your performance is just another practice run, and that can help easy the nerves.

the last and most important thing to do is HAVE FUN! the more fun you have the more it will come through in your performance. It makes the difference between a good performance and a great performance
