Hey guys

My Auntie passed away on August 2nd, and her funeral is this

Saturday (yes, it is far apart dates..but there are reasons for this). I was very close with her, and she was pretty much my second mom(im 15 btw). My family and I have been heartbroken ever since the day she passed away. I am sooo scared to attend her funeral, and I want to be strong for my family, but I know Im going to completely fall apart. I was just wondering if anyone who has ever been in my situation could reassure me that I wont regret going and its okay for me to cry. Im not asking for pity, she passed away peacefully, I just want to know what to expect.

Thank you all soo much for all your answers.

God Bless..and never take your family for granted..you never know when your last visit will be.

  1. It is going to be difficult, you all loved her very much. Everyone will be emotional and that is ok! Just remember to celebrate her life. And remember, she is home now and at peace. The memories will never fade, but over time the pain of the loss will lessen.

I am very sorry about your loss. May God bless you and your family.

  2. Sorry for your loss :(

I think you will reget not going.....you will not regret going....

  3. It is important to grieve over loved ones passing. If you suppress it, it will hurt you later.

  4. when i went to my grandpas funeral along time ago i felt like i dint wanna cry......i was trying to be tough......but when i walked up to the casket and seen him lying there i thought he was gonna jump up and everything was gonna be a joke or something...but it dawned on me that he was really dead and it was really hard to  take.. i cried and couldnt stop. but you owe it to your aunt to attend she would have wanted u to, and it would be awesome to pay your last respects.. if you dont u will be kicking yourself for not going... so just let it out and dont hold back... good luck and may ur aunt rest in peace.
