My voice easily sounds nervous. I worry about how my voice will be and it ends up sounding nervous when I talk. It makes me do short sentences. What techniques can I do to make my voice stronger and more resistant to this?

  1. Get some books and read aloud.  Practice reading sentences until you are happy with the way you sound.

  2. The only way to get ride of this is practice reading out loud.  Grab a book, open to a page (ANY page will do), and read out loud.

In the past when I had to give classes for my Marine Corps unit, I would read the material to the point I knew it forwards and backwards -- confidence in knowing what you are talking about will make you sound less nervous.  Also, when you are speaking, many public speakers have a glass of water, that way their voice won't "dry up" and crack.

  3. If you find out, tell Condi Rice. She has that same problem.

  4. How do you know you sound nervous? how old are you? maybe its just a voice change while your growing up. Take a deep breath before you start talking and relax..

  5. take the d**n mask off..
