Nery Castillo situation?

Nery has pretty much wasted a year of his career sitting on the bench with Shakhter and Manchester city last season. Now his negotiating with Betis which is cool I guess but he needs to start playing games. I know he has some kind of attitude problem he needs to control. His a h**l of a player and I hate seeing him on the bench. What are your thought?

  1. He should have moved to Spain a long time ago.

Man City was always going to be a bad move, because he's not direct enough to play in England.

But in Spain he'll be able to show off his skill, and he'll have more time on the ball. It's just the move he needed.

  2. idc he isnt really all that great

  3. nery is one of my favorite player and a move away from man city is the best for him the owner is f#$kin crazy and the manger doesnt play eriksson former signings and yes roc i agree nery does have a an attiude problem he needs to change it or he will never make it a good european team

  4. Nery should have gone to Spain long ago. Weve seen many players go to England cause it seems like a more prestigious league, but they end up on the bench.

I think h**l do great in Betis. I also further predict, Betis, Deportivo, and Atletico will make a serious run for the cup. Barcelona and Real Madrid wont know what hit them.

    ***Note***

Betis, Deportivo, Atletico: Nery, Guardado / Bravo, Javier Aguirre.

All Mexicans making a difference in Spain

  5. if he starts, i'm all for it.

personally, i don't really care where he goes as long as he starts and the team is not fighting relegation.

i realize that there are technical factors that would inhibit nery from demostrating his true potential but as long as he gets the experience i'm fine with it. of course if the team is fighting to get into the CL it would be even better but nery should use this as a stepping stone for now.

  6. hes really good thats better for him

  7. Man City has in recent weeks become very unstable, as their Thai owner has had his assets frozen (corruption charges). This could prompt an exodus of their established players, meaning the youthful reserves like Castillo, if they stick around, could be in the starting lineup.

  8. better than jozy altidore

  9. I think this is great and i'll tell you why! Real Betis to me is one of the most talented squads in all of Spain! They can pull for a spot in Europe next year! I remember that great game between Real Betis and Barcelona where Betis completely destroyed them. They definately have great players and i think they can pull some sort of surprise. Saying that, I think Nery is good enough to challange for a spot in Betis!

  10. Nery Castillo obviously is a great player but the problem with the negotiation is that Nery is a costly player that they can't afford. So it seems Nery is going to have to pay some of the transfer fee, if he really

wants to leave. And about his attitude you're right, people around him for

the last year especially after Copa America stated that he gained a pop diva attitude. Also on the pitch, we all know, he tends to be a natural "ball hog." Hopefully he leaves and make up for the lost year of his career,

  11. my thought is that he should be playing more time instead of being in the bench nery is a talented soccer player and capable of playing any where

  12. nerry dose have a attitude problem, but when he was in the ukrain he was to small, and there style of play is crosses and headers.

in man city, he had to many people around the same skill level as him in his position.  so it came down to the coach, and he chose to stay with proven starters.

well if he gose to betis, which has two good strikers he would have to shine when he dose get his couple of mins at the end of the game in order to take one of there spots.

also nerry will do better in spain, spain is a bit slower than the epl, but has more skill,

    epl-

    speed- 10

    skill-       8

    tuffness- 10

    la liga

    speed- 8

    skill- 10

    tuffness- 8

    series a

    speed - 7

    skill --    9

    tuffness-8

so nery might blow past a couple of the defenders as oppose to in england were if you try to run by them they knock you on your @$$
