i can't believe how far he's fallen since Copa America 2007.  he fell out of favor in both FC Shakhtar and Man City.  according to speculation, his lack of playing time was due to his horrible work ethic.  i hope this is a wake up call and that he turns it around with Betis so that he's ready for the WC 2010.

on a positive note, he's got tons of natural ability so it's not like he can't become a difference maker on the field once again.

I think that this could be the start of a great new opportunity for Nery to show the soccer world that he is a very talented player, but he's gonna have to give his 100% if he doesn't want what happened in Shakhtar Donetsk and Manchester city to happen all over again.

his work ethic is great, his attitude not so hot. He s an incredible footballer, but I think his dad screwed him when he was his agent. He went to the wrong teams and the wrong leagues. Nery is made for Greek, Spanish and Italian leagues. Hes not strong in the air. Hes strong on the floor. I think this move will bring his level and confidence back up. The shaktar move and the injury really hurt him. A couple of goals with the national team will remedy that.
