Ness Wadia hopeful that Kings XI Punjab will turn the tables this year – Cricket News Update

Ness Wadia, a co-owner of Kings XI Punjab, is happy with the emergence of some young players for his franchise and hopes that his team will do well in the current season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The franchise did exceedingly well in the inaugural edition of the cash-rich league and qualified for the semi-finals. However, its performance has dipped down since then and according to some reports, Kings XI is facing financial losses.
Kings XI made some drastic changes last year when http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Adam-Gilchrist-c918 was appointed the captain and there were some new signings for the franchise. However, there was not much improvement in the performance of the team.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Punjab-c833 has not started off too well in the current season either, but the co-owner of the franchise is hopeful that his team will turn the tables very soon. Wadia is happy with the performances of some of the local players who have performed well since last
couple of years.
Wadia expressed, "I think more than anything, IPL for us is discovering new stars. Like http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mandeep-Singh-c74122, who has given strength to our batting. The IPL has been pretty
good in terms of discovering young players."
Punjab is currently placed at number eight in the points table with eight points after nine matches. Some of the foreign players like http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SE-Marsh-c2470 have been doing pretty well in the on-going season. Australia’s premier fast
bowler, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/RJ-Harris-c2330 is also expected to join the franchise very soon, which will surely boost the bowling attack of Punjab.
Wadia is disappointed that his team could not impress in the previous two seasons but he is optimistic that the current season will be different and his boys will get their act together.
"It (the journey so far) has been a good one. We had a good couple of years initially. The last two years were not very good. I think this year should be better, overall," he expressed.
Kings XI will face Royal Challengers Bangalore in its next fixture of the fifth season on Wednesday.
