  1. Forget about getting any new or popular releases from netflix without waiting 1 to 2 months.  It's convenient when it works, but not when you have to wait - I still end up using pay per view to see movies in demand.

  2. netflix of course

  3. I did the exact switch: Hollywood Video to Netflix and haven't been happier.  We had problems with disc quality from HV and would have to return the videos constantly.  I've been using Netflix for a year and haven't had any unreadable discs (though I do have a friend who had one).

I love Netflix's queue, too.  Mine has movies that I've been interested in seeing, but haven't gotten around to it, so they are never forgotten and during those times when there is no new release worth watching, I can bump up those to the top of the line and get those next.

You can easily make your money back using Netflix.  $25 gets you what? 6-7 movies a month.  If you watch 2 movies a week, then you can halve the money you're spending.

Customer service is also excellent.  We had a few missed shipments that we thought were being stolen from our mailbox, and Netflix was very helpful and even upped our plan for a month because we missed out on some movies for the prior month.

No late fees with Netflix.  You're paying for a monthly service, so keep it as long as you want.  I've had movies for over a month.

    Definitely worth the switch!

  4. netflix is awesome, you just have to keep adding movies that you want before they come out, and it takes 2-3 days to get them. make sure that you send them back as soon as you watch them to get the most for your $$. i hate going to the video store anymore, who has time for that anymore? and they don't have it in anyway.

    netflix user for 2 years*

  5. I've been a Netflix user for 2 years and I love it. The one major con is that if you watch a lot of movies, they throttle your account to give priority to the less active customers. But you can easily fix this by upgrading your account to a higher tier.

  6. woo go netflix...jus making things simple just log on and order and boom few days later its movie time lol....much more convenient and many more choices

  7. NETFLIX!!

I use the 3 movies at a time plan on netflix. It is pretty nice. 4 movies out at once is too many for me. My plan is 19 bucks a month.

If you spent 25 bucks a month at netflix you could afford the 4 movie plan. If you are near a distribution center you could watch 30 movies a month. Try it out for a month. They always have an offer for one free month. You still have to give credit card info though. Thats just the nature of the beast....

    1) The biggest PRO for netflix is the convenience.

    2) You don't have late fees

    3) you never have to worry about driving out in inclement weather to take a movie back.

    4) DONT FORGET ABOUT THE GAS you use every time you go to the video store and back. That savings alone can pay for the plan depending on how far you have to drive.

    5) The price is reasonable.

There is a netflix distribution in Wisconsin so it only takes 2 - 3 days for my movies to turn around. I can watch 6 movies a week. That is 24 movies a month if I so choose, for 19 bucks a month.

Now the only cons are these. And they are mediocre cons they arent really cons.

    1) Some times a movie may come damaged and you are out of luck especially if it is a movie you really wanted to watch. I have had a few movies come to me in pieces. Just absolutely destroyed. I returned the movies as damaged and Netflix has never questioned it. They know things get lost and damaged in the mail.

    2) You may not always get a movie you feel like watching.

You have to update your queue often if you want to be sure you are always getting the latest movies.

    3) If you don't watch the movies you have, you don't get new ones till the ones you have are returned.

    4) Sometimes during busy times I may have a movie laying around the house for a week.

It is still worth it though I don't regret it one bit.
