Netgear Router Question

I want to strict acces to a certain amount of things (wirelessly). Example PS3, PC, Phone etc. and only the items I name able to access my router. There is a password on my router but some one I know has a program that in simple terms breaks into the wireless. If i make it only able to access say 2 things at a time it may stop people. Is this possible?

  1. There's a few things you should know:

    1) Anyone who can crack into your wireless router more than likely will override your command so they can still free load off your internet.

    2) You can upgrade your router security by buying something better and installing it. But if their software is that good, you should look at #3.

    3) Perform a trace and report the computer at the other end to the police. Anyone freeloading and using software like that without a legitament reson should go to jail and/or pay a hefty fine.

  2. I would try MAC filtering feature. find the MAC address of each device you want to connect (every communication device has a MAC Addy) and enter it in the filter.  Set it to only Accept the MAC Addresses you choose.  i would think it could still be hacked but i think it would be very difficult to.  if you need help setting this up pass an email by @ baron_mccaul@hotmail.com

  3. nope, but you coudl go into you router and see who is using the router.

And i don't think anyone could crack WEP or WPA encryptions
