Netgear router not working

my router has been working great for the last 8 months and all of a sudden the wireless light wont turn and my laptop wont connect.. i call netgear and its out of warrenty... can somebody help me i realllly need my laptop, nothings been changed on the comp everythings the same

Try resetting using the reset button on the router. Follow the instructions in the manual if you cant find the button. Try connecting the laptop to the router with a network cable, and try and see if the wireless is turned on. Refer to your manual on how to do this.
