Netherlands’ Nina Keijzer, Anneloes Van Veen replace Tina Lutz, Susann Beucke at the end of Day 2
Nina Keijzer and Anneloes Van Veen from the Netherlands’ have replaced the first day toppers, Tina Lutz, Susann Beucke of Germany
in the overall standings of 470 Women fleet at the end of 470 Junior European Championships Day 2. The Dutch team now leads the Women’s fleet of 470 boats with four points and the Germans are at number three with six points.
The Women fleet sailed successfully under shifty conditions with strong winds blowing around 22 knots over the racing area in Nieuwpoort, Belgium. The Dutch pair sailed brilliantly in
the day clinching the first race and a third place in the second race. On the other hand, first day leaders, Tina Lutz and Susann Beucke couldn’t perform up to the mark and tumbled down to third place overall.
Meanwhile, another team from Germany, Annika Bochmann and Anika Lorenz made it to the Top 10 and straight to second place with the help of a second and first place. Fortunately, Bochmann
and Lorenz had a discard which made them secure second place in the overall standings of 470 Junior European Championship’s Women fleet.
The overall standings of Women fleet at second day’s conclusion are given below:
