Netherlands happy as ICC overturns its decision to reduce number of teams in 2015 World Cup
The Koninklijke Netherlands Cricket Board (KNCB) is delighted that the International Cricket Council’s Executive Board has reversed its decision to axe the associates from the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 World Cup 2015 by reducing the number of teams from
14 to 10.
The KNCB chief executive, Richard Cox on Wednesday thanked the ICC president, Sharad Pawar for discussing the matter with the Directors of the governing body to reach the decision in favour of associates.

and interaction with various High Performance Countries as well.
The governing body increased the number of participating teams from 10 to 14 teams to create a space for the low-ranked associate nations in the mega cricketing event. But it was proposed earlier this year to reduce the number of
participants to 10 for the 2015 edition of the quadrennial tournament to be jointly hosted by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Kenya-c752.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Netherlands-c753 are the most successful associates when it comes to qualifying for the high-profile tournament as they are the only low-ranked side to have played in four World Cups.
Despite having a winless World Cup itinerary this time around, the Dutch are quite confident of securing a berth in 2015 edition as well.

Cox said that they are looking forward to the World Cup 2015 qualification process and will try their level best to ensure Netherlands is part of 2015 event.
