Netherlands left most of the cricketing world in shock on Wednesday, as they after failing to continue their batting on the second day due to rain, smashed a sensational first innings total of 308 runs on the third day of play, at Sportpark Het Schootsveld, Deventer.
With UAE being considered as having more experience in the sport, a stupendous batting performance by the Dutch, was a pleasant surprise for the cricket bosses in the International Cricket Council (ICC).
UAE in response to this mammoth total, managed to post 74 runs for the loss of two wickets at stumps, and now trail by 234 runs.
