Brooklyn Nets rope in C.J. Watson
Chicago Bulls free agent C.J. Watson has agreed on a two year deal with the Brooklyn Nets, it has been learnt. The contract is priced at a veteran's minimum and has a second year player option.
The Nets have had a very busy off season, in which they successfully bolstered their roster and are expected to be one of the title contenders next season. They however were still lacking a back up option for star point guard Deron Williams, but the arrival of Wallace seems to have addressed that concern.
Watson, who backed up Derrick Rose back in Chicago, averaged 9.7 points and 4.1 assists in 49 games.  His numbers were even better as a starter and the deal has certainly provided the finishing touch to the already potent Nets back court.

Garnett’s return will also be beneficial for the development of the recently acquired rookies Jared Sullinger, Fab Melo and Kris Joseph, and comes as a big boost in the backdrop of Ray Allen’s decision to take his talents to the South Beach.
