my wireless connection doesn't work, when I press the button, the light won't even turn on. what should I do?

if you mean your dsl modem call your ISP>>>

have them re-set your connection OR >>> get a better isp

Sounds more like your refering to the wireless button on your laptop?

We need more details, what type of device are we talking about, did this just happen? I mean did it work before, and not now, or it has never worked, etc.

If this is about your router or about your DSL Wireless Modem, all you have to do to fix your wireless connection.

1.Find the Default Ip Address, for the modem to find the default address, is to connect to the modem directly with your Cat 5 cable, then go to network connections on your computer, right click and click on properties,on the window you should se default address. Do the same with the router

2. You type the default address in your Address Bar on your Internet Explorer.

3. To access your router or modem you need a password, for the router is either pass or password. For the modem it is the email address account password from your internet company.

4. After, you get in you look for the option wireless radio broadcast, make sure that the option is on.
