Network help- lan or high speed internet?

Question

umm i have local area connections under lan or high speed internet one is local area connection and the other is local area connection 3...

the problem is that i dont want local area connection 3 but when i try to disable it, it just comes up with a error saying it may not support plug and play or it may have been activated by another account

the problem is that i dont want it there or on my comp

so can some 1 tell me how to delete permenently

p.s i cant delete the driver because when i try it says unable to because the driver may be used to boot up my system

all i ask is that i delete the local area connection 3

i use windows xp sp2

Try uninstalling the hardware, or software if it's a VPN interface.
