Networking 2 PCs?

Question

Ok, I have 2 PC's, both in different rooms. I want to connect both to a internet network.

What would be the best solution and what would I need to do this? (Such as: Cables and modems.)

you'll need a wireless router (Lindsey)

you'll need a wireless adapter for one computer.

set up a home network if you never done one use the network wizard .

Hook your dsl or cable moden to the one port on the router then run your Lindsey software and it will pretty much walk you though it setting it up. so you'll have both your computer on line at the same time.

Get a router (wireless-N is the best) and connect it to your cable/DSL modem. Then get wireless adapters for your PCs and connect to the router.

Well you need a router, a wireless ethernet card and a dsl or cable modem (depending on which internet service provider your going to choose). First of all hook up one of the computer directly to the modem and router. For the other computer in the other room, install the wireless ethernet card and you can then have internet service without the wires running from room to room!

I use a router that has the capability of wireless and wired networking. I just use the wired method to connect my computers to the router since speed and security is important to me. The only drawback is that if you have computers in two different rooms, you have to do some thinking about the most attractive way of getting the network cable from the other room to the router. Luckily, the way my house is designed, I can conceal much of the networking cables.

The cable modem connects to the router and you just have to configure the router so that the other computers can get to the internet through the router.

you can connect both via Router.

Then install a program called Network Magic.

This program allows you to share both th same printer also transfer files from one computer to another.
