On his upcoming overseas trip, Barack Obama will be met along the way by the anchors of the three network evening newscasts. About 200 other journalists have also asked to join Obama during his trip.

But Howard Kurtz of The Washington Post reports that John McCain has taken three foreign trips in the past four months — all unaccompanied by a single network anchor and with little fanfare.

The Tyndall Report, which monitors news coverage, says that since June the nightly newscasts on the three networks spent a combined 114 minutes covering Obama while devoting just 48 minutes to McCain.

  1. Because most of the channels are liberal and are pushing Obama that's why.

  2. This is huge news.  Obama has no foreign policy history, so everyone is watching to see if it is going to be a train wreck, or a brilliant beginning to a foreign policy.   It is the same thing that happened when Geraldo opened Al Capone's safe  "would there be amazing stuff inside or would Geraldo look like an idiot".

  3. If TMZ have a choice to cover you or Angelina who do you think they gonna go with?

It's all about ratings....he brings money, and the other one doesn't!

    Take your pick!

  4. WELL, I GUESS WHEN IT FINALLY RAINS IT POURS!!!!!!!

  5. Obama has promised the top dog News organizations exclusive interviews. ABC, NBC, and CBS get exclusive interviews with Obama. Those other journalists are probably covering for other outlets, AP, Reuters, ect.
