German legend, Gunter Netzar, has no doubt about Nuri Sahin’s ability to succeed at Real Madrid…
The retired veteran stated that Sahin is one of the most talented players of his time and he just has to wait to prove his worth in Santiago Bernabeu.
Madrid signed Sahin from Borussia Dortmund in the summer transfer window prior to the 2011/12 campaign.
During his stay at the German club, Sahin was one of the most prominent players of the team. He played an integral role in the 2009/10 campaign, appearing in 33 of the total 34 league matches.
The following season, Sahin helped Dortmund record a Bundesliga triumph after years of wait, winning the best player of the season award in the process.
Despite playing in integral role for the German club, Sahin is finding it difficult to get a regular start for Los Blancos.
Consequently, Gunter Netzer has spoken that the player needs some time and would be able to impress once he regains his form.
While talking to AS, the 67-year-old was quoted as saying:
"Sahin is a very, very interesting player who is very good. [Real Madrid must] give him some more time, a year or half-a-year, because he will become an important player for Real Madrid in the future. He is a very technical player, with great variety in
his passing range, tactical awareness and high work-rate.”
The German legend also discussed other former Bundesliga players Mesut Ozil and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sami-Khedira-c32325.
"No-one can always be 100 per cent in top form all the time. He is young and has to learn. Now playmakers are also required to put in a lot of effort. For http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 he had to work very hard, but Ozil has not reached the top of his career yet, I can assure
you. [Regarding Khedira], he is an ideal player for a coach.” He said.
Nuri Sahin’s first goal for Real Madrid came in their Copa del Rey clash against Ponferradina, and Los Blancos faithful hope that there will be many more to follow.
