go forward, and has lost his effectiveness,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
On the other hand, the former Los Blancos player played down talk that Schweinsteiger could replace Lahm as the new captain of the national side. He stressed that the midfielder lacks leadership skills and does not have the qualities
to lead Germany. He insisted that there is a need of a determined leader for the team if Die Mannschaft need to win a title in the near future.
“Bastian Schweinsteiger is just not a natural leader. You cannot instruct football players to have leadership if they don't have the right temperament. Every outstanding team in the history of football has had outstanding individual
