OK so I really need help, I'm really scared.

Starting on Saturday I started feeling major pain on my lower neck, right in the middle. It was like a really intense stabbing and a buzzing sound. I was driving and my whole body tensed up where I couldnt even move and barely see the road.

On Sunday when I woke up my whole left side of my body felt really heavy and I could barely get up.

Then when I would go to drink or pick something up it hurt too much and I would have to drop it. It just felt like whatever I did would give me a shocking feeling.I was in pain but not too bad. ( I still went to work.)

When I came home at around 9 pm it just started feeling worse just horrible!

I got up to get to drink some water and next thing you know I just throw my cup of water, I start seeing blurry like a whole bunch of dots everywhere and I blank and just pass out. Im on the floor and for a couple of seconds cant comprehend anything and couldnt even get up on my own.

My sister came and took me to my bed and I couldnt really talk. I could comprehend everything in my head and knew what I wanted to say but it wouldnt come out.

So my mom took me to the ER and they took out blood, urine tests, and did a CT scan. But everything came back normal!

The doctor said this is something rare in young people but they dont know what it is, the only possiblity he came up with is possible a stroke or heart attack.

So they sent me to my dr. and he is going to send me to a nuerologists tomorrow.

My doctor said the only other possibility he can come up with is diabetes. He says he cant give me anything for the pain until they can run more tests. He also said I cant work for now or be out in the sun.

So just to help out I'm 18 years old, female, 5 feet 150 pounds, and until now normal healthy weight. Oh and I wear glasses and have really bad vision. But other than that I am usually healthy.

I just really need some opinions as to whats wrong with me and whats gonna happen.

  1. Okay I have a friend of mine who is a doctor and I had something similar to this. Look up info on the following two things if it sounds close you may need to see a neurology specialist. Fibroid Mi alga or MS (Multiple Sclerosis) Urine and Blood test can not trace these to disease only mris and other cranium tests can catch these diseases

  2. I think you should have had a imaging done of your neck and possibly and MRI (CT's don't see the posterior structures as well as MRI), any trauma?? Worse case sounds to me like you could be having a carotid dissection, do you or any one in your family have history of lupus, autoimmune disorders, diabetes is easily tested for and i am sure they would have ruled this out in the er. you also should get an echocardiogram/ultrasound of your heart done.

  3. I'm a nurse and you should go to see a  Chiropractor. They will really help.  They know what you have and they'll tell you what you have in your body. They will also tell you what you have to watch out for. Hope you feel better. :)

  4. First off, i wouldn't consider 150 to be healthy for your height, regardless of your frame that is overweight. A heart attack wouldn't have caused this unless not enough blood was getting to your brain, but a stroke seems the most likely except that it didn't happen all at once, so i guess you should just trust the doctors.
