....Neurotic Hamster?

So I got a dwarf hamster about a year ago. For a few months he was really cute, sweet, and nice. He never bit and would always stand still when I pet him. Sometimes he would eat thing right out of my hand. Then after a few months (5?) he started hiding more and when I reached in to pick him up, he bit or scratched me. He's always doing that now! and whenever I give him food from my hand he either bats it out of my hand or takes it, stuffs it in his cheek pocket, bites my hand, and runs away. Is he neurotic? Was it something I did? Do you think I should get him a playmate, if that will help? HEEELLLP!

  2. We had a hamster and you have to put in a small area. Make sure he has the running wheel or get one of those plastic ball.  Give him a chance and he will come along. He need some along time and don't push yourself on him.
