I'm kind of sure its A, since B is wrong since neurotransmitter only alters the permeability of presynaptic cells, C is also wrong, D is wrong since the ion-channel is not made of protein, but of ligand.

I really don't remember any of this from my one psych class, but if you're sure it's not B,C,D, and therefore can't be E, then its definitely A... right?  =)
