Which of the following are neutral salts when dissolved in water? (Select all that apply.)

CaCO3

CH3COOH

NH4Br

NaNO3

Can someone please tell me the answer and why it is so?

  1. it is only NaNO3

    CaCO3 is insoluble in water

    CH3COOH is acid and water is not a base so salt will form.

    there is also no posibility of salt formation by double decomposition.

    NH4Br is salt but it will undertake hydrogen bonding in water.

    so not neutral.

    NaNO3 will be neutral as there is no vacant valency of N to form hydrogen bond.so no charge on it.
