The Serbian international explains last campaign’s mocking of the Bavarian giants star after the right winger’s crucial penalty was saved in their league clash.
Borussia Dortmund central defender, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Neven-Subotic-c27632, has suggested that his taunting of Bayern Munich star Arjen Robben’s spot-kick miss in their Bundesliga encounter last season was just a reactionary thing and not an insult for
the Dutch midfielder.
The defender rushed to the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 and Real Madrid man to taunt him following his late penalty miss in April. The BVB went on to win the highly important match 1-0 and were crowned German League champions. Now after about
half-a-year, the Serbian sweeper stated that his reactions were due to a rush of blood.
The stopper confirmed that he has no personal problems with Robben and the act was due to an adrenaline rush. He said that the people in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 asked him why did he do such a thing and that he is a fool, but the 23-year-old claimed
that it was not planned and was just an instinct.
"On the one hand, people say 'Ey, Neven, you're so stupid, why are you doing this?' On the other hand, I know that it was an instinct,” Subotic was quoted as saying in an interview.
The Borussians' player conceded that he was not thinking about what he was doing at the time, as the environment was intense. Therefore, it was in his interest to not discuss or explain the silly acts he did.
"It was not something I thought about [at the time]. Your pulse races at 200 on the pitch, its best not try and explain everything [you do]," he finally concluded.
Dortmund will take on Borussia Monchengladbach on Saturday, and Bayern will play Werder Bremen in an away match the same day. They will play each other for the first time this season on December 1 at the Allianz Arena.
Die Roten are currently at the top of the table and lead Die Borussen by seven points. Chasing Der FCB will be a tough task for the defending champions this time around.
