  1. well when the dentist flossed my gums, it bled a lot. when i did it at home, it didnt bleed. i guess we just adjust the flossing speed or force that is comfortable to us. the dentist doesnt know if it hurts or not, so they floss and it bleeds. and its okay if it doesnt bleed. you shouldnt worry, you dont want it to bleed right? the pain problem will go away once your gums are strong enough. gl.

  2. Cant be answered on 'answers'- your gums need looking at(obviously) by a dentist-there are loads of possible reasons for what you describe!

  3. If you do it daily (1X day) for 7-10 days the pain will go away totally, and you will have healthier gums!

  4. If you are experiencing gums that bleed then you must know that bleeding gums are not normal.  In the early stage of gum disease which refers to gingivitis, gums usually appear red, swollen and easily bleeding.  At this stage the disease is still reversible, and can be eradicated by daily brushing and flossing with proper technique.  If the gum disease advances because it is left untreated, to a more serious stage called periodontitis, there is a serious damage to the gums and bones that support the teeth.  It a must to see a dental expert if you experience bleeding gums so that you will be advised and given the treatments that you may need once the dentist have finished checking your gum condition.

  5. I know if I haven't flossed mine in a long time, it's painful and may cause bleeding.  Mine's mostly due to the fact that I only floss every now and again, and my gums aren't used to the 'attention' they're getting.  They'll get enflamed a bit and hurt but that goes away after a few minutes.  If yours really hurt, see a dentist.
