Wow! What a fantastic piece of advice. The person who penned this quote is quite obviously a most intelligent and worldly wise individual! We all like to be admired, and flattery is a way to do this. It can give you encouragement, when needed and boost your morale when you are feeling down. I`m all for it, you can flatter me all you want to; I promise I won`t int-erupt.

I like it.

I suppose it's polite to listen to the compliment all the way through before responding. I suppose it could also make you feel really good to hear what someone thinks, rather than getting embarrassed and cutting them off. Then again, if they're going on and on (and on) perhaps a polite interruption is called for!
