to me it depends how it got half full/empty.  were you emptying it, or filling it?

if somebody drank half of it, it's half empty.

I think i did..I was thirsty and weary. I just saw it near the sink. I thought nobody wants it anymore. I was sorry to drink from it. But next time if I will have mine, I will give you half of it. When you feel so thirsty too..^^
