  1. I agree that Neville Chamberlain bought time because Britain  was unprepared for war, but why was it so unprepared?

Are we repeating the mistakes of the past, so much of our food is imported what would we do if there was a war? how would we feed ourselves, if the air and sea lanes were cut off?

How would we defend ourselves when our armed forces are illequipt and demoralized, and are unable to defend them selves, let alone us, as demonstrated when the Iranians captured A British Vessel and all of its occupant and took them prisoner In British controlled waters, one of the prisoners admitted to the press that he was so frightened that he cried like a baby, and they all came back in civilian clothes and with shopping bags, are these the calibre of people that are guarding our waters?

Perhaps it is time to ask Why our forces are so under equipt and out of date, we certainly seem to have enough cash to throw away around the world, America has the best technology, we should Americanize our forces and keep them updated.

    Peace through Power.

  2. Don't blame Neville Chamberlain. That man did everything possible to stop Hitler invading checzlovakia. Hitler signed a Treaty that he would not invade Poland, and that was the pice of paper had in his hand. But of course, Hitler didn't honour any treaty he ever signed. But when he did invade Poland at least Chamberlain did the honourable thing and resigned. Our MPs today don't know what Honour is.
