Honda hit a goldmine with there new crf150r. I don't understand why the other companies are so dumb they didn't make a 150 also. The Honda has been out for 2 years almost. Some of the companies have posted their '09 models online. Suzuki hasn't yet. Does anybody know if they will?

  1. kawasaki have been working to develop one, but part of the problem is the classification of where they race.  The country  I am in they race against the 85cc section but not everywhere has adopted this and this is what Honda had in mind for the bike when they developed it.

I guess it has made some of the other known brands a bit hestitant to go ahead and end up in the same boat.

The difference here is that we do not have a supermini class and all bikes are not allowed to be modified.  You can add pipes and do the head up etc but putting larger kits in them is just not on.  The 150cc is very competitive in the 85cc class here and is usually at the front of the pack and is also proving to pull better off the start gate.  They can be a very fast bike.  In a state title here last weekend the 150cc went over the line 1st and 2nd in 2 out of 3 races with a stack causing one of them not to finish in the 3rd race.  My son was on one of them.(not the one that stacked thankfully).

  2. No gold mine there........The 2-strokes in supermini class smoke the 150...The 150 just has no chance in that class...A 105 or 112 2-stroke is way faster....The 150 is also heavy...

until they make a place for that bike the other company's wont be making them anytime soon...

  3. in the US the 150R is not allowed in any classes other than supermini, schoolboy and womens....

sadly it is the underdog in the womens class against the 250f and 125 2strokes....
