New 2009 GI bill good or bad? (ng)

Good?  I retired on Jan 1, 2002 and I find that I get more GI BIll even for serving over 6 years ago.

Bad?  Why are they giving me more money for duty already served?  I would rather they give it to the guys in NOW.

Great! It's a great step to ensuring the future education of the military when they transition back to civilian life or for helping their spouse or kids better themselves. Any increase in education benefits is welcomed.
