New 3G Iphone?

well its a lot cheaper - $199 - but why is that? does the old iphone have any features that this one doesnt?

  1. The phone is cheaper but the contract is more. witch makes the new iphone cost $40.00 more over the length of the contract.

  2. yes, but then to subsidize the cost of the actual price would be paid more by AT&T.

    If you seen the Keynote, 56% of people that didn't buy it but wanted an iPhone was because of the huge price, which is why it was lowered so that everyone can afford it.
