Bear paces and cries anytime we are not available to him. On the other side of a baby gate is too much for him. At night it is a constant ritual of his to pace, cry, lay down, get up & repeat. So sweet but driving me nuts! Help!!

  1. Persistence and patience, kindness and care. Maybe this is why he is 8 months old and new to you, has he had other homes. People are not always honest when they want to re home a problem animal. Make sure there is plenty to occupy his mind. Try a radio and a ticking clock in his bed, you could try a cage, if you choose this option make sure he can stand, turn and eat, all with ease. if you have the space why not get a companion dog for him, a little one from a re homing center.

    Good luck.

  2. try crate training and leaving him alone for short periods of time and give him a toy or treat to keep him occupied
