New BLUE NOSE owner - pitbull?

Hi,

my sister just got a 5 weeks old pitbull, blue nose female. Im looking for any advise you can give us to better educate this puppy to more the most sociable possible, not turn her into an attack type of dog, I understand this is still a pitbull, but we want to make sure how we and people around us can be safe. 1 specific question, what to do when she tried to bite? today, she did so on a couple of occasions, not serious but still we dont want her to get that habit, also make sure not to over punish her.

First of all, Blue nose is a COLOR of American Pit Bull Terrier, not the breed.  The color doesn't change the temperament of the dog.  

What you need to do is learn about basic dog care.  Pit Bulls are NOT good dogs for First time dog owners.  They have bad reps, strong personality's, and can be really overbearing if your not up to it.

www.dogforums.com is a great place to start reading up on dog behaviors and being a new dog owner.  Look at the stickies at the beginning of each board.

Good luck and read up on the breed.  The more you read on Pit bulls and dogs in general the better off you are.

Also as soon as your dog has all over its first shots, you need to get it into training classes that run about $70 to $100.  The more your dog is around other dogs the better, BUT that doesn't mean your dog will never be dog aggressive.  Its in the breeds genes and you should be ready for it if it happens.
